A few months ago the Extreme Make Over Home Edition team came to our area to help a family in need.   The Miami Valley Quilt Guild, the guild I'm a member of, was asked to make quilts for the the 6 members of the family.  The response from our members was amazing.  We were given less than a week to complete the quilts.  The volunteers began piecing the quilts on a Friday evening.  By Sunday evening they had all six quilts pieced and by Tuesday all six had been quilted ! 

Being a part of this project was so rewarding.  From working on the quilts to watching the house being built and then the reveal day.  This experience has renewed my faith in humankind.  There were over 2000 volunteers who worked 3 shifts to get the house ready in one week.  It was awsome to see so many people helping a family they had never met.

• That's pretty inspiring, that's a great project to do in a short amount of time. Amazing what good can be accomplished when a group of people are united for a particular purpose.
